I received an interesting and strange piece of mail yesterday.

First, allow me to say before going on with the rest of the post that these people, in their own way, all most seem right up there with that psycho from www.crystalinks.com.

Also, note: there are pictures of the of mail below.

Original post starts here:

I’m a little in shock. I don’t know how my name got on this mailing list, and I have never even heard of this organization or magazine before, but apparently I’m on their radar now.

The people who mailed me are apparently from this website where the motto seems to be “Making clear today’s news in the light of Bible Prophecy.”

Number 1, Shouldn’t that say “Biblical prophecy” … And number 2, more importantly, WHY did they mail me?? And HOW did they get my name and address?

If you look at their website (http://www.newswatchmagazine.org/) there’s a video of a preacher, David J. Smith, who is also Newswatch Magazines editor, talking about the last days (how profitable Revelations can be, right?), and I want to KNOW why he thinks that in Revelation 13 the sea is humanity and the beast is a government? Did he take a class in Biblical symbolism? Or maybe he understands the Greek it was written in? (I also think David J. Smith is a fake name, but okay I won’t get into that).

What a way to try to make a One World Government conspiracy fit your religious convictions. Doesn’t this preacher, David J. Smith, know that for every one theory he has about each verse of the Bible, there are about 500 people disputing it with their own theories?

And here’s something even MORE BIZARRE. The envelope was OPENED and then resealed with scotch tape before it got to me!!!!!!

I really, really don’t know what to make of any of this. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s fascinating none the less. I think it’s exciting I just got a piece of mail from what I think might be connected to some Militia groups (oh how I love thee, Militia), but I’m still confused.

And I’m also a little agitated. I don’t know why religious convictions must come into play for ANY of this. It’s going to turn a lot of people off. Like myself. Not to mention the website seems kind of not all there… Promoting books called “Aliens and Fallen Angels” and “The Truth About Hell”.

Either way, here are the pictures of the mail (click on each photo to see the full size — they will open in a new window):

Lol, only me, right?

It isn’t surprising, really. Information can be bought about anyone these days for very cheap, whether through websites offering records about people (usually the price depends upon the size of the record, this can be more extensive depending on various factors.)

I will say though, that it is creepy you received some physical mail from people you’ve never even dealt with before. Regardless, you are on the world wide web, you do own a blog, and people of all sorts will find and contact you because of it.

Actually, I should mention that this doesn’t apply to everyone with a blog. Because half the time, people with blogs write about stupid shit nobody cares about, you actually have some articles worth reading on your’s.

Hey, you can only wonder/imagine who’s going to try and mail you next. Maybe it’ll be some group or person claiming to be Jesus himself. lol.

Seeya later.

LOL@The email address you put down. Brudda@BD.Com. Hahaha. Epic win.

I made sure that my website wouldn’t have my information though. GUESS NOT SURE ENOUGH LOL.

I honestly thought some white powder was going to fly out at me when I was opening the mail. Hahaha.

I’ll be excited to see what other pieces of mail I get from now on to be honest. I’ll probably blog about it. :D Lol@someone claiming to be Jesus himself. That would be an epic prank in my mail box.

You know what? I’d be pretty pissed if I got that kind of junk in the mail. I once received a letter kind of like that, but then it contained a picture of “Jesus” and it said I needed to unfold the picture, place it on the floor and then drop to my knees with my knees touching the picture and say some prayer.. THEN send the picture to someone I love.

I shit you not.

I mailed it back to the creepo organization that sent it to me and told them to get on their knees and kiss my hairy white ass. :(

Okay.. WOW. That mail you got is… something else. I don’t think they’re the same thing at all though, the one you got and the one I got.

I remember organizations and people like this from years ago, which I’ll tell you more about sometime in IMs. There’s a reason why I think they’re probably in some way related to some groups in the Militia. :P

But the reason I said there are at least 500 different people disputing his theories with their own is because that’s true too. There’s SO MANY DIFFERENT WEBSITES LIKE THIS. I just haven’t heard of this particular one. So I don’t think this is meant to be a JOKE per say…
