New innovative ways to help with blogging AND writing.
September 26th, 2008 | 268 wordcount, 2 imagesI just heard about this new software called “Dragon Naturally Speaking”. It’s like that old software that they used to advertise on television where you talk into a mic and it types out the words on screen. WELL, my grandmother had one of those, and… suffice to say it really didn’t work.
But Dragon Naturally Speaking DOES work. Just look at these videos:
These videos shows you how it works:
Like one of the videos says - “imagine if everyone typed at the same speed they talked?” I’ve often wondered about that myself. When a truly good idea comes to you, and you have to type it out, things can get lost between your brain and your fingers - I’ve always believed this, and if you go back in some of my posts, I’ve said this time and again. So much to say, little ways to say it, or even just exactly what I said - things get lost in translation from my head, my fingers and the screen. If you can write out exactly what you say when you say it, imagine how easier things could be.
It wouldn’t even just be for blogging — thinking of writing a book? A poem? Anything like that? I’ve often thought how great it would be to have someone typing while I dictate what I say to them — and that’s exactly what Dragon Naturally Speaking does.
