So I guess I should write something semi-personal.

October 27th, 2008 | 882 wordcount

EDIT: Sorry for the bore fest of this post. ZZZZZZZ. Feel free to skip.

——————

Since I started this blog, it’s been far from personal. I mean.. In the beginning some posts may have been a little more personal than they are currently, but as it progressed this blog started to get a theme — and as if most of you couldn’t tell, that theme was political or even sometimes conspiratorial (all though, really, the things I post usually aren’t conspiracies at all — just are hidden most of the time from mainstream media, and APPARENTLY if it isn’t in mainstream media a hundred times a day it’s a “CONSPIRACY” — but that’s a topic for another post).

Anyway, I guess I caught wind of people reading this blog that I didn’t want reading this blog (which was bound to happen anyway, since it is public), and tried to keep the topic of myself and the topics on this blog as separate as possible — and also, it’s just not my style most of the time to talk about myself the way most people talk about themselves on blogs. How uninteresting that would be (and THIS is why I grew to resent despair.nu’s commenting system).

I also noticed that the most traffic I receive from search engines like Google is mostly from when I talk about things that others are interested in — IE: not myself. But at the moment I have nothing of substance to talk about, so I’ll talk about myself — actually, never mind, that’s a lie, I have plenty of things to talk about that are of substance, just no way to say them yet (and that is what I usually always say, isn’t it?).

So… Here it goes, a semi-personal post.

I have two spare websites besides this one. One is we-are-legion.net and the OTHER is lannister.net, neither one I know what to do with at all. We Are Legion is part of the “slogan”, so to speak, of the “group” (really, wouldn’t they be considered the ultimate anti-group?) called Anonymous on the internet, and Lannister is the last name of a royal family in the book series “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R. R. Martin (I wrote about it here: “Winter is Coming”).

Aimey and I were going to make we-are-legion.net into a porn site (which I wrote about here: “Failed porn”). Of course we weren’t going to be the models for it, but instead pay some cheap AOL whores or find some crack addicts to go on camera for nearly nothing — haha, and now I feel like I just incriminated myself in some way.

That fell through — clearly. It was WAAAAY too much money to get started into, plus way too much work. Also, the URL we-are-legion.net just isn’t good for something like that anyway — a lot of people might know where the name comes from, but most people looking for a quick fetish porn video to jerk off to on their coffee break from work most likely wouldn’t, and might just pass by the site without a second glance.

Oops, there’s goes some money we could have made.

And speaking of money, I haven’t been making any lately from the web. It’s my fault. I haven’t been very attentive to anything that actually GIVES some spending cash — but that’s going to change. Which brings me back to what I was talking about just a moment ago — those two other URLs that are in my possession — or at least one of them.

Aimey has the idea to make one of HER spare websites into a product review or recipe blog, and I’m thinking that might be PERFECT for lannister.net.

OR I COULD… get an affiliate ebay.com account and write about the hottest products being sold on there, getting a commission if someone buys from my site (a friend of mine, Danny, who also blogs on systom.org, gave me that idea — and now I’m passing it on to some of you).

Or even better… I could COMBINE ALL THREE OF THESE IDEAS: Recipes, Product Reviews AND Ebay Reviews. All though Danny told me that he heard the best way to go about the Ebay review route is to reinvent the page every time something new and hot comes on sale, and make your entire blog/site about that product only.

And as for we-are-legion.net, I am STILL lost on what to do with that. Like I’ve told a few people before, I’m hoping someone makes a movie or a documentary or something about the internet, or Anonymous and the internet, or something, and titles it “We Are Legion” — so I could sell it for a hefty price.

LOL AND THE CHANCES OF THAT ARE PROBABLY ZILCH.

Anyway… I’ve dragged on this post long enough, but it’s just what I do when I haven’t posted in a really long time — I make an extraordinary long post to try to get back into the swing of blogging.

I apologize for anyone who actually took their time out to read this! My next blog post will be better. Promise! I have interesting things to quote from someones Myspace about democracy. :)

And I also realize that this blog post wasn’t exactly personal but that’s all you guys are getting for now — deal with it.

Hey, there’s lots of ways to make money online, you just gotta find what works best for you. You know?

Also, a review site might be a good idea.

Don’t listen to that Danny guy, if he knew so much about making money.. wouldn’t he be making some himself? Seriously.

Hey Angela! Yeah, I know. And the review idea.. I STILL haven’t forgotten about razorkisses.net. Sorry for being so unmotivated. <3 :(

And as for Danny...

He just reads a lot about it on those marketing websites and gives the ideas to me and Tom. He doesn’t have a site to do it all himself yet.

Actually the idea is something I read up on and it dives a little bit deeper than that as mentioned with what you have to hustle(not something I’m willing to fully share until fully tested of course), that I think personally sounds like a good idea to simply give a shot to and I shared it with Danny. However, you never know until you actually try something, and that’s what I’ll do once I have everything together that’s necessary to do so.

Just like everyone else with methods or big money, they didn’t used to make money and BAM, they started somewhere and they do make money now.

LOL YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON AIMEY? Hahahaha. That’s so cute.

And RazorKisses is not a porn site. It’s a product review site. But you’re right, it does sound like a suicidegirls thing. Should’ve been for goth models or something.

Don’t worry so much about what you put in your blog. If you want it personal, make it personal! If you want it about other things, you do that too. That’s the cool thing about owning your own little web space - you can do whatever you want with it!

I feel like people expect a certain thing from this blog now, so I try to keep it on those topics as much as possible. But you’re right. This is my site to do what I want with.

Thank you for the comment!

Depends on the pay =D! Hahah
Here’s a nice easy scam to getting money.
Post a craigslist ad saying you have a packet that costs $5 or $10 or something with information on how to make hundreds of dollars a day doing data entry. All they need to do is pay you that small money and you send the information.
Then the information you send is just telling them to do exactly what you’re doing. Paypal =D
It’s a horribly twisted, wrong thing to do, BUT you can make a lot of money! Or you could get a real job, either way hahah
