By the way, this is completely random, and I’m probably going to make a post about this sooner or later, but I’m going to get a laptop soon. I want an Alienware but I don’t know now.. Maybe I want to go completely insane and get something different like.. a Linux laptop?
LOL IMAGINE ME ON A LINUX LAPTOP… WOW. Like a friend of mine said “You’ll try to open a folder and wind up reformatting the whole computer” - because, I am, indeed, a total newb. Hahaha. 
ANYWAY… SUGGESTIONS FOR A LAPTOP????
Oh yeah, and Matt Oxley, if YOU still build computers and build them well, maybe you and I can talk.

I bought a Dell XPS laptop a few months back for my work commute. Its a gorgeous little beast apart from one thing: the glossy screen which is a real pain if you have any sort of light source behind you. Make sure you get a matt screen.
You can change screens on your laptop?

Oh LOL. I’m so dumb haha.
By the way I looked at Dell XPS’s. They don’t seem bad at all. But before I make a decision I want to talk to Matt.

and the screen in question is MATTE not matt…and it doesnt bother everyone…but super glossy drives me nuts.

You wouldn’t believe the setup I’ve got. My laptop sits on a wire-mesh thing, lifted into the air with a fan blowing on it to keep it from overheating. The fan in the laptop makes a weird clicking sound and probably rotates at 2-3 CPM.
If I try to do two things at once, my laptop shuts off.
Well, it is almost 3 years old now… But still. =(
Alienware are expensive, you should just build your own.
I might look into building my own if I could learn how.

You should get a Mac laptop. The one Daniel has is like 6 years old and hasn’t had a single problem and plus NO VIRUSES~! And a lot more things are Mac compatible/have a mac version nowadays, so imo its totally worth it. They last longer, need less updates, no viruses, can do pretty much everything a pc can do for gaming, and so much more than a pc for designing, movie making, and etc etc. Go mac! You really won’t regret it. PS: Hi!

IDK, my cousin got a Mac and she says she loves it. But I am SOOO used to windows… I have to do more research.
MAC is pretty cool, it shouldn’t take you long to get used to it. There ARE viruses out there for MAC, just not nearly to the scale Windows has. One of my hacker friends told me once that the people who created the MAC operating system make viruses for Windows systems because of how their work was essentially stolen from them. Not sure how true that is, though. Interesting none the less.
That IS interesting. And totally not fair to all the innocent Windows users.
Well it’s targeted at Microsoft themselves, but you’re right. It’s not fair.
