I just now saw “The Dark Knight”.

I waited longer than most to finally see “The Dark Knight”, but that’s the price I pay for waiting for it to hit AXXO Torrents, which only happened the other day (because God forbid I actually go to the movie theater to see “The Dark Knight”, right?).

Anyway, onto the review:

That movie was SO impressive. Heather Ledger as the Joker was so spot on. Too bad that role got the better of him though and supposedly robbed his life. Heath Ledger could have been an asset to the future Batman movies, but at least “The Dark Knight” didn’t end in a cliff hanger regarding The Jokers story. It wouldn’t follow the comics, but according to this line of Batman movies we can just pretend that The Joker is in jail for good — unless they find someone to fill Heath Ledgers place… Which, really, how likely is that?

Those are going to be pretty big shoes to fill for the next actor that decides to play The Joker.

By the way, speaking of roles getting switched — Did Katie Holmes really, FOOLISHLY, turn down “The Dark Knight” to play in the flop known as “Mad Money”? What an IDIOT that girl is. I can not stress that enough. First Katie Holmes gets with Tom Cruise and then she turns down “The Dark Knight” for “Mad Money”. What a MORON. Not that I like Katie Holmes - I don’t. I hate her, always have, ever since Dawson’s Creek, but that is besides the point. Turning down “THE DARK KNIGHT” for “MAD MONEY” was a DUMB CAREER MOVIE.

Either way, I’m glad that Rachel Dawes is dead because, for one, that means we don’t have to deal with Maggie Gyllenhaal (another annoying actress) and two… WE HAD THE VILLAIN KNOWN AS TWO-FACE.

Two-Face is actually more evil than The Joker in my opinion. For Two-Face, his evil crusade or whatever it was seemed a lot more PERSONAL. For The Joker, it wasn’t personal at all - therefore making The Joker a lot more intelligent than Two-Face, and a lot less evil. The Joker wasn’t really emotional… Two-Face is. A lot of hatred and hurt pent up inside Two-Face. I also think that Two-Face needs to just get over it - but if he did that then we wouldn’t have another great villain, now would we?

Two-Face is a totally different kind of villain than The Joker, and if he’s still alive then I think the movie they’ll make with him is going to be just as epic as “The Dark Knight”.

By the way, there is a website devoted JUST to Harvey Dent AKA Two-Face: I Believe In Harvey Dent. Check it out. I love the “Ha Ha Ha”’s all over the site. Pretty ironic considering The Joker set Two-Face on his crusade..

By the way, was anyone else impressed with the ferry scene in “The Dark Knight”? The inmate who stood up and told the prison warden or whoever he was “you don’t want to die, but you don’t know how to take a life…” and convinced the warden to give him the detonator to the other ferry carrying the innocent people of Gotham — only to then throw the detonator out the window? All I could think was that is a good man. Here’s hoping they would let someone like that out of prison if that ever really did happen.

I’m also glad that the man on the other ferry couldn’t set off the explosion with the ferry carrying the inmates - but really, in real life, how realistic would that be? I can see some reformed, rehabilitated, religious-converted inmate throwing the detonator out the window to save all the innocent people, probably wondering if his wife or children were on the other ferry, but not the other way around.

Okay, anyway, I’m over analyzing LOL.

Also, I LOVE the fact that Morgan Freeman’s character disagreed with the super machine that was sort of like “Big Brother” to track down The Joker.

“The Dark Knight” was great. I give it a 10 out of 10 (not that I’m a movie critic, but still).

Oh yeah, one more thing, CHRISTIAN BALE IS HOT. ANYONE ELSE AGREE???

I would hit it with the quickness.

=( Really?
I’m aging! *Goes and buys injections of HGH in Mexico to try and restore his “youthful glow”*
I had a friend, 37, who bought that crap and injected himself with it. I told him he was stupid. He was 37, looked like he was 25. Was one of those people that would NEVER AGE EVER.
Oh well. Anyways. I don’t wanna look like I’m older, I want to be able to get some ass when I’m 30 =(

I do believe that I am the only person in the world that isn’t gushing over this thing. Yes, I liked it, but I didn’t love it. For me, it was too dark and took all of the fun out of it being a superhero movie, not to mention that frog in Batman’s throat.

Having said that, Heath Ledger did an excellent job as the Joker, but I still bow down to Jack Nicholson and Ceasar Romero’s Joker’s. They’re closer to the comic versions. Speakng of the comics, they nailed Two-Face’s look. Shame he wasn’t in the film more.

At least this thing wasn’t the snooze fest Batman Begins was, but as far as this summer’s superhero movies go, give me Iron Man or Hellboy 2.

I think it’s darkness is what made it a success to begin with. It wasn’t goofy or comedic really. The Dark Knight was dark and gritty. A new type of creature all together. Sort of like Batman Begins - which I liked!

By the way, do you think Two-Face is dead?

The fake Batman voice was funny imo…. but a good movie for the most part because of The Joker, I wish he was in more of the movie though because he did play that part really good. Next Batman movie will not pack the punch of this one though since Heath Ledger made this movie so very entertaining..

Yeah, that voice… Did they like, give Christian Bale a voice machine or something or digitalized it?

You’re probably right about the next Batman movie - unless they keep Two-Face alive. I think he’d be a good villain. We just can’t go in expecting to see another Dark Knight though, or another Joker. If we go in comparing, it’ll be bad.

Is Two-Face dead? Hmmm…well, here are my thoughts on that. As far as the movie goes, I don’t think he’s quite dead, but knowing how sadistic Nolan is, he probably just wanted to kill him for the fun of it. Time will tell on that, but the actor that played him, his name escapes me for now, has said that he is dead and he’s not returning. Of course this should be taken with a grain of salt, could just him covering up something he knows that we don’t, though.
