Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel reveals MANDATORY Civilian Force.

November 18th, 2008 | 1,121 wordcount

THE VIDEO WITH RAHM EMANUEL WITH THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS IS BELOW.

I am all for people volunteering their time and helping out if they choose to. I am NOT all for people being FORCED to do so. WHO is the government to tell us, to FORCE us, to do MANDATORY work? Especially force our CHILDREN. Who is the government to tell us what to do with our children? Where our children have to be? What our children have to do with their time?

For all the parents who will put up the defense that this will be good for their kids, a learning experience, etc, whatever, then I’m SORRY for your KIDS that you are too irresponsible or not a good enough parent and NEED THE GOVERNMENT to tell you how to make your kids responsible, hard working adults.

Is anyone else reminded of The Hitler Youth organization? This is probably going to be worse.

I KNEW all that nonsense Obama spouted about “we need to make the kids put down the video game controllers” was bad news. I agreed with Obama, parents need to make their kids stop playing so many video games.

But what I DO NOT AGREE WITH is that parents need a GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL telling them what is good to do in their home or with their kids.

Also, as you’ll see below in an article I posted, it isn’t just volunteering your time or your children’s time. It’s about creating a civil army. Actually, according to Obama, his “civilian national security force” would be just as powerful and well-funded as the U.S. military.

You’ll read more of that in the article below.

To take a point I read on a forum:

Can someone tell me how is this not…
A. A re-education camp AND/OR BRAINWASHING
B. A draft
C. Unconstitutional
D. All of the above.

This is very reminiscent of 1984, where the children were brainwashed by Big Brother to spy on their parents.

Anyone else reminded of the KGB and the Secret Police?

I’m also guessing that this is how Obama is going to try to save money and cut back, America. Going to save money on your backs.

We need the Militia now more than ever. Don’t be fooled. The Civilian Force Obama and Rahm Emanuel have in mind is going to be state controlled. Those guns we’ll hold under Obama’s rule won’t be for protecting the people against the government, it’ll be for protecting the government against people.

THAT’S WHY THEY GOT TO GET YOUR KIDS. GOTTA GET THEM YOUNG AND IMPRESSIONABLE.

There is a reason why gun prices went up since Obama got elected.

Now here is the video interview with Rahm Emanuel, who is now the Chief of Staff for Obama, talking about his plan for forced labor on Americans.

Also, here is a partial quote from someone on a forum:

What exactly does Rahm Emanuel mean by “Whether you’ll be getting a train ride or a barrack”? He knows exactly what we are concerned about and tells us not to be since it’ll be a common experience?

I suppose the Jews in the concentration camps shouldn’t have been so worried, since it was a common Jewish experience of the time.

^^^Good point.

Here is some of the article I mentioned above when I mentioned Obama’s civilian national security force:

WND: Emanuel volunteers Americans to do ‘a lot’

WND reported last weekend when the official website for Obama, Change.gov, announced he would “require” all middle school through college students to participate in community service programs.

However, after a flurry of blogs protested children being drafted into Obama’s proposed youth corps, officials softened the website’s wording.

Originally, under the tab “America Serves,” Change.gov read, “President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in under served schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps.

“Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year,” the site announced.

WND previously reported on a video of a marching squad of Obama youth and Obama’s “civilian national security force,” which he said in July would be just as powerful and well-funded as the U.S. military.

In the interview, Emanuel was questioned whether participants in the proposed force would live in barracks.

“Somewhere between the age of 18 to 25 you will do three months of training. You can do it at some point in your college time,” he said. “There can be nothing wrong with all Americans having a joint, similar experience of what we call civil defense training or civil service.”

Emanuel said the planned requiring service “will give people a sense of what it means to be an American.”

He said, of course, the plan at that point was flexible.

“We propose three months [but] at the end of the day [if] someone says it should be four … I’m not going sit here and hold up [plans],” Emanuel said.

When the reporter questioned the commitment, Emanuel responded, “Guess what. We have a lot more challenges. We are going to need a lot to do it. If you’re worried about are you going to have to do 50 jumping jacks the answer is yes.”

He chuckled at the reporters concerns.

“Rather than figure out if whether you take a train ride or a barrack. … Think of it this way, it will be a common experience.

“There will be a body of citizens who are ready, capable and trained,” he said.

But the plan, especially its demand that Americans participate in a domestic “force,” has been raising questions.

The blogger Gateway Pundit called Obama’s plan the “creation of his Marxist youth corps,” and DBKP commented, “‘Choosing’ to serve should be approved by parents – not required by the government. No amount of good intentions can sugar-coat words like ‘mandatory,’ ‘compulsory’ or ‘required.’”

Emanuel uses his book, “The Plan: Big Ideas for America,” to specify that he would propose, for all Americans ages 18 to 25, that they “serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service.”

Obama, meanwhile, also has yet to clarify what he meant during his July “Call to Service” speech in Colorado Springs in which he insisted the U.S. “cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set” and needs a “civilian national security force.”

Also, anyone else notice this quote in the article:

Emanuel said the planned requiring service “will give people a sense of what it means to be an American.”

That’s funny, coming from someone who wants to strip away EVERY SENSE of being an American.

Ever since I saw the speech in which Obama first mentioned this, it has made me uneasy. This sort of action just screams Hitler Youth. To top it off, we have a charismatic cult of personality leading a country that is in a severe depression and a war to boot. The parallels with Nazi Germany are uncanny, and that video jsut tops it all off.

Speaking of, do you have any idea what that video was all about? Was that real, or just a (disturbing) PR stunt? I’m really hoping for the latter, but I wouldn’t be surprised at the former.

The video was Rahm Emanuel in 2006 being interviewed by the New York Daily News.

Anyway, you’re absolutely right. I see the similarities too. It’s more like Stalin-like communism than Nazism to me. Or maybe a mixture of both.

Here is some more freaky information on it that I just found:

Georgia congressman warns of Obama dictatorship

Georgia congressman warns of Obama dictatorship

By BEN EVANS – Nov 10, 2008

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Republican congressman from Georgia said Monday he fears that President-elect Obama will establish a Gestapo-like security force to impose a Marxist or fascist dictatorship.

“It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he’s the one who proposed this national security force,” Rep. Paul Broun said of Obama in an interview Monday with The Associated Press. “I’m just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may — may not, I hope not — but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism.”

Broun cited a July speech by Obama that has circulated on the Internet in which the then-Democratic presidential candidate called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military.

“That’s exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it’s exactly what the Soviet Union did,” Broun said. “When he’s proposing to have a national security force that’s answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he’s showing me signs of being Marxist.”

Obama’s comments about a national security force came during a speech in Colorado about building a new civil service corps. Among other things, he called for expanding the nation’s foreign service and doubling the size of the Peace Corps “to renew our diplomacy.”

“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set,” Obama said in July. “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

Broun said he also believes Obama likely will move to ban gun ownership if he does build a national police force.

Obama has said he respects the Second Amendment right to bear arms and favors “common sense” gun laws. Gun rights advocates interpret that as meaning he’ll at least enact curbs on ownership of assault weapons and concealed weapons. As an Illinois state lawmaker, Obama supported a ban on semiautomatic weapons and tighter restrictions on firearms generally.

“We can’t be lulled into complacency,” Broun said. “You have to remember that Adolf Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I’m not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I’m saying is there is the potential.”

Obama’s transition office did not respond immediately to Broun’s remarks.

I don’t think it can get any more obvious that our government is out to control the people. But it probably will. And still, idiots will sit there defending Obama, repeating the rhetoric that Rahm Emanuel is spewing out. What a fuckhead.
And everyone over 25 won’t GIVE A SHIT because they won’t be required to go and do the work. FUCK. THAT! I’m not taking 3 months out of my life, getting 3 months behind on my bills and 3 months behind on EVERYTHING just so some fuckhole can try to brainwash me into believing America is the greatest government in the world and can do no harm.
I BEG TO DIFFER!

I would love to see what the Obama followers have to say about this. I already talked to one friend I know that DROOLZ over Obama and she said that it probably won’t go through and even that she hope it doesn’t.

But the Democrats in office will go nuts over this I think.

I keep getting people that yell at me to “Just leave him alone, he hasn’t even taken office yet.”
It’s so retarded.
All you have to do is look at Obama’s voting record, who backed him in the election monetarily and who he’s currently picking to the key positions in the white house, and you’ll see that we’re being set up once again.

I suspect there is a largely untapped potential in mobilizing American youth to take pride in their country and be part of something larger than themselves. Youth seek to belong and once a common purpose is established in service to America kids will eagerly jump to participate. The only thing that would hold them back would be paranoid parents. America’s youth might be ready to say good-bye and good riddance to the America of the post-WWII and Cold War generations. We also love guns in America, so I would additionally advocate small arms and marksmanship training for all who are interested, along with self-defense and martial arts. Some safe-sex education and self-pride would also do them some good.

Why should all of this be mandatory?

You don’t belong in AMERICA if you believe all of this is good for a country. Maybe some socialist country.

Over reacting a little?

Parents should teach their kids responsibility. Too bad a lot don’t.

It’s always been like this here. Schools in MA have to do tons of community service to graduate.

I don’t think I’m over reacting.

Parents SHOULD teach their kids responsibility. Too bad they don’t is right. The government, however, should stay out of it.

We’re not talking about high school required community service, that is really just a choice and not a law FOR THE SCHOOL to implicate - which schools weren’t FEDERAL by the way.

We’re really talking about the government telling us what to do with our time even after we graduate high school, and what kids are REQUIRED by the STATE what to do with their time BEFORE high school.
