Okay, this is outright scary. So scary it caused me to actually blog again (wasn’t this site dead!?).
April 16th, 2009 | 627 wordcount, 1 imageOKAY, EDIT: SO THIS MIGHT BE A HOAX. (Late April Fools joke, maybe?) THOUGH, OBVIOUSLY, WHEN I READ THAT ARTICLE AND WROTE THIS POST, I BELIEVED IT, BUT… LOOKS LIKE I MIGHT HAVE BEEN TRICKED. I’m still keeping the original post up though. It’s below the ———– line.
Look at this funny quote about it: “Oh sure there was a tree growing in his lungs and in that tree they also found a birds nest, a lost kite and the head of an axe which got broken off it’s handle when the the little people, who live in his stomach tried to cut it down. They were ever so hungry and needed the wood to built a fire so they could cook up chunks of his liver.”
I LOL’d.

Think of it like this…
Hanoi-Hanna - Potentially Confused says:
The infection that would occur from something that foreign to the body appearing in the lung would effectively cripple the lung.
Hanoi-Hanna - Potentially Confused says:
Probably necrotising all the tissue around the tree in the process. When that happens, there is no nutrients that the tree can draw on to increase in size. Effectively stopping just as soon as the seed got inside the body.
Hanoi-Hanna - Potentially Confused says:
Not to mention… You’d notice the pain of inhaling something as large as a fir seed.
Anyway….
***Original post starts now…***

So you know how people (mostly children) always say “don’t swallow watermelon seeds (or another type of seed), unless you want to give birth to a watermelon (or other fruit)“? Well… No one in their right mind thinks that’s true, but maybe the notion came from somewhere.
I’m also sure we’ve all heard about the man who India who “grew roots” (oh wow, a quick Google search of him tells us he might be cured — and while I’m glad for him, that “tree man” in India is so last week compared to the story I’m about to tell…). We all also know that those roots aren’t actually tree barks, but warts. It just looked like tree bark. I mean… humans and trees just don’t mix, right!?
WRONG.
There’s a man in Russia who IS actually growing a tree inside of his body.

According to the article, it says “Medical staff believe that Mr Sidorkin somehow inhaled a seed, which later sprouted into a small fir tree inside his lung.”
I don’t know if this is amazing that the human body can have the right environment/ingredients to allow a TREE to grow inside of it, or just down right freaky…
I’m gonna go with a little of both.
By the way, imagine being the doctor and/or staff to discover the fir tree inside of this man? The reason I say this is because of this line from the article: “‘I thought I was hallucinating,’ said Dr Kamashev. ‘I asked my assistant to have a look: “Come and see this - we’ve got a fir tree here”.”
Rofl, that just made me laugh. My reaction would be more like “IS THAT A M^#$^#$ F%&%$&$ FIR TREE IN THAT MANS M^#$^#$ F%&%$&$ LUNG!?!?!?” (Samuel L. Jackson-esque - cause, you know, I think we’re all sick of these mother f*ckin’ fir trees protruding out of our mother f*ckin’ lungs /sarcasm). And what are these doctors like? All calm, probably sipping at tea, staring up at the x-rays like “We have a fir tree here. Looks like a code red, folks. Get my scalpel.” Just like it’s partially standard. …Maybe this is why I’m not a doctor…
Man, just imagine the parasites and foreign entities in his body now because of this, though. I know I wrote about some of that stuff here and the adverse effects parasites have on the body. That mans probably going to need to cleanse/purge his body in SOME way.
